Our primary hosting centre is based in Telehouse Europe, and provides a resilient and secure facility.
More information about the hosting centre: The site is monitored continuously by trained, uniformed security staff to provide a deterrent to unauthorized access. CCTV, with time-lapse videoing, both internally and externally provides information to a security control centre on possible intrusion. Proximity cards control access within the facility.
The centre has a sophisticated power distribution system for resilience. Multiple mains electricity feeds are supported by a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system with generator backup. All of the power back-up systems are individually maintained and checked on a routine basis. Redundant n+1 equipment provides spare capacity to enable maintenance and repairs without interruption to customer services. There is always enough fuel on site to provide power for at least 24 hours to the generators.
All facilities operate computerised building management systems that monitor and remotely operate sensors covering electrical, mechanical, fire detection and water leakage systems. The data centre is kept at a constant temperature of 21°C, plus or minus 1°C, with humidity at a constant 45-55%.
All our facilities use FM2000 fire suppressants, a Dry Fill Sprinkler System. This is an environmentally-friendly alternative to Halon.
Network security is of paramount to us. We provide a complete range of 'AN(UK)L' security features on our network, including VPN/IPSEC access, internal segregated networks, opportunistic encryption on all of our servers, firewalls, VLAN's and much more.
